Serbian company Yugoimport SDPR has started to market its RL-4M
IR-guided SAM as a secondary missile for use with upgraded 2K12M
Kub-M2 (SA-6) and S-125M (SA-3) SAM systems. The RL-4M and the
shorter-range RL-2M were developed by the Moma Stanojlovic aircraft
repair factory in Batajnica, with the assistance of local companies
including rocket motor specialist EDePro. The production RL-2M round
weighs 65.3 kg at launch and is 3.09 m long. Its RB-R60 booster is
950mm long, weighs 20.5 kg and has a 2-sec burn time. The IR seeker
can detect targets at ranges of up to 12 km. The boosted missile has
a maximum range of 10 km and a combat ceiling of 24,600 ft. EDePro
has developed a booster for the definitive RL-4M version that
enables the missile to cover a range of 22 km and reach a ceiling of
46,000 ft.
