Raytheon has received a $17.2 mil contract modification from the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, through the US DoS FMS mechanism covering the provisions of upgrades for S. Korea's Patriot air and missile defense missile. The firm will deliver prime-power equipment as an alternative source for Patriot operations, and communications gear to improve the missile's compatibility with S. Korean air defense command facilities. S. Korean company EHWA Technologies will supply the frequency converter kits that will enable Patriot system elements to be powered via the country's central electrical infrastructure.
