The Su-30MKI/Su-30MKM/Su-30MKA family manufactured by Irkutsk
Aviation Plant-Irkut has proven, in various military exercises
including the international Red Flag war games held in the US, to be
among the most effective multirole aircraft available. The company
has entered serial production of the new-generation Yak-130 combat
trainer, featuring the latest digital technologies. The Algerian Air
Force has procured a Yak-130 to train pilots to operate its
Su-30MKA. Irkut is also collaborating with Airbus Industries and
EADS to convert the A320 jetliner to the airlift role.
