The US Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, has awarded
a $228 mil order to Harris RF Communications for the provision of
Falcon II AN/VRC-104 HF radio systems for deployment in Mine
Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles dispatched to
Afghanistan. The contract was awarded on behalf of the US DoD's
joint MRAP program. The AN/VRC-104 constitutes a vehicular
transceiver/amplifier that incorporates the secure,
beyond-line-of-sight AN/PRC-150C radio.
